Costain Ltd Cheltenham General Hospital

MCS Ltd were employed by Costain to act as building services management consultants on the Cheltenham General Hospital, St Lukes 2 project. We were site based over an 18 month period to act as management consultants, our main requirement was to ensure that the main building services contractor was installing to the high standards required on an NHS project, and also to ensure compliance with the design parameters required. Upon completion of the installation we were employed to ensure that the building was commissioned correctly and on program, and also compile all commissioning paperwork and building services sign off documentation in readiness for the final handover to the client in March 2009.

As a result of the successful relationship that was built up on the Cheltenham project we have now agreed terms with Costain to carry out the same role on the new Linac & Endoscopy cancer treatment centre in Cheltenham, and the new £30m extension to the women’s services wing at the Gloucester Royal Hospital.
